These modern bookends are perfect for containing extra large books or a growing record collection.
Design measures 5.5 inches wide by 7 inches tall with a 5 x 3.5 inch base
Your item is plasma cut using 16 gauge steel, approximately the thickness of a quarter coin, for a durable yet lightweight piece. The metal is left untreated to maintain its natural finish so it is best kept dry. Because of this, each item may vary slightly in coloration and markings, having it's own unique characteristics.
OUR PROCESS
For each piece, designer and shop-owner Stephanie creates a unique design that will only be found in this shop. She sends that art over to her dad, Steve, who operates their CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Plasma Cutter. This machine is driven by Stephanie's design to create her art with precision using a plasma (think liquid fire) torch. Steve then buffs off any rough edges giving you a smooth finish. Stephanie and her assistant then inspect each piece, give it a good cleaning, and pack it up for you to enjoy!

Beautifully hand crafted and perfect for my shelf!
The item itself is high quality; it's heavy and made of decently thick metal. The problem is with the cutting. I received one that was missing a horn and both have the whole backside covered in scratches. The seller was very kind and offered to replace the one missing a horn and the replacement one I received also had problems with the horns. The seller stated that the backsides are scratched but would face the books so they felt that was fine.
Overall just not very happy with my purchase and feel for the price, maybe there should be a process for finishing each piece that would check for quality and maybe sand rough edges and scratches.
Great book end for a fantasy book reader! Make sure to order two if you want matching book ends...they sell them in quantity of 1 per order.
Love these dragon bookends! They are clearly well made and a super fun edition to my bookshelf! I love that the base underneath the book isn't too thick, so my books sit well on it on the shelf and aren't uneven. Received quickly and very well packaged as well.
